Marin Tales : stories of early Marin County, by Brian Crawford

The tales in this book are a collection of stories from the history or Marin County and its environs. Some are true crime stories - murders and executions and stagecoach holdups. Others are stories of disastrous fires and storms that impacted lives years ago but are now mostly forgotten. A few touch on the supernatural - ghosts and superstitions. Some are simply reprints of articles from the newspapers and give a modern reader a sense of how residents viewed their county in the past.
